It is a very ordinary-looking thing, really.
Small. Lacking in detail, slightly tarnished, even. The black stone it rests on shines more in the odd half-light.
Beside it, a silent fight rages - a slight girl against a thing out of some nightmare, moving so fast, so fluidly, sometimes they are a blur moving around the stone, but there is never a sound from either.
The fight slows, and the tallshortdarkfair girl is wearing the thing around her neck, without it leaving the stone until there is a
blur
and the creature she fights has it but always their battle is balanced and neither one keeps it for long.
And from where he leans against the stone, Harth Fray calmly watches the silent struggle.
